Keep your truck or auto transmission cool with the digital accuracy of a superior transmission temperature gauge.
The top-of-the-line, digital transmission temperature gauge is Made in the U.S.A. and comes with a Lifetime Warranty. A precise stainless steel sensor is included with the gauge and measures temperature from 100 to 300° F. Also, the digital transmission temperature sensor is fully adjustable and comes with a 16’ cable. The gauge comes with either a stylized chrome or black bezel, and fits in a standard 2 1/16” (52mm)spot on the dash. If a 2/16" mounting hole is not available, an auto parts store will have a mounting, bracket, display or pillar that one can install and then mount the trans temp gauge within. The transmission temperature gauge install is relatively easy with the provided instructions. Also, a toll free number is available for personal help if there are any questions regarding installation or operation.
An excellent LED display is included with the gauge. The numbers are large and bright enough to read under direct sunlight. For night time driving, the transmission temp gauge comes with an auto-dimming feature. Lastly, the LED display comes in either a bright blue or red.
A transmission temperature gauge tells you what temperature your auto or truck transmission is running at so you can keep the transmission running at the right temperature. This high accuracy of this transmission temperature sensor can replace the inaccurate stock sensor and give you the knowledge you need to protect your transmission.
Manual transmissions are comprised of a clutch and movable gear shift. Truck transmissions are manual because manual transmissions are more efficient than automatic transmission and handle the strain associated with hauling loads. There are four types of truck transmissions, one these type appears similar to car transmissions at first glance and can have up to six gears. All of these transmissions can be used with a digital aftermarket transmission temp gauge.
Range transmissions operate like a car transmission, but also have a high-low option that allows the trans to be divided into a high and low range. Push a button and the gears 1-4 become 5-8. The switch usually occurs at around 25mph. Splitter transmissions also have a high-low option, but instead the pushing gear 1 and gear 2 share the same physical spot on the gear shift. Range-splitter transmissions share both of these characteristics and are the trickiest to drive. The most common transmission is the ten speed non-synchronized manual trans. This is due to the shorter learning curve for ten speeds as compared with the super ten or the thirteen speed transmissions. Our digital trans temp gauges install and function optimally on any type of transmission.
Commercial truck engines can produce torque in the range of one thousand five hundred foot pounds force. Thus, the trans clutch can be obliterated in the hands of a greenhorn who is accustomed to driving an automatic transmission. If the greenhorn provides gas while the clutch is not engaged, the clutch will sleep and create friction that will heat up the transmission. This temperature will shoot up on the digital trans temperature sensor display.
A transmission temperature gauge is useful due to frequent changes in friction occurring in a clutch as the clutch is utilized to transfer the torque from the to engine and transmission. A good clutch, in the hands of a skilled driver will function properly for tens of thousands of miles. Engine or gear oil lubricates manual transmissions, though less often than in manual transmissions. As lubrication wears down, the friction in the transmission will increase and a digital transmission temperature sensor will indicate an increase in temperature.
The aftermarket transmission temperature gauge kit comes with a Lifetime Warranty. For styling, high accuracy, quality sensor gauges, you have come to the right place.
